Rental Equipment

Job Title: Rental Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

ASR is looking for a full-time employee for the rental counter that can start immediately. Your responsibilities are as follows:

  • Opening Showroom

  • Answering phones, transferring calls to different departments, taking phone messages for departments, and checking Email

  • Making customer reservations and inputting customer Information into system Alert, (rental system)

  • Converting customer reservations into contracts

  • Processing payments

  • Scheduling deliveries and pick-ups for equipment rentals

  • Helping customers that come into the show room

  • Generating internal work orders by entering into Alert and closing when they are completed

  • Updating maintenance record books, adding parts and inputting information and making sure that they are up to date

  • Maintaining and updating equipment checkout sheets updating if there is new information that needs to be added or taken off and uploading them to Alert

  • Inputting new equipment into Alert

  • Updating rental prices in Alert

  • Making and updating equipment price tags and updating price book

  • Working with marketing team on newsletter and website

  • Handling customer responsibility forms for customer when equipment is returned broken

  • Finding specifications on units to enter into Alert

  • Closing store: counting cash drawer, printing reports and making sure cash amount balances, copy checks, emailing AR invoices, filing AR payment check stubs that come in

  • Cleaning showroom: dusting and wiping down equipment

  • Other duties as assigned


We are looking for an employee for long term work. Must be reliable, hard-working, honest, self-starter who has good communication skills and works well with others. Candidates must be customer service oriented and be confident and able to communicate well. No experience necessary but is helpful. Lawn and Garden equipment handling is a plus. The pay scale is based on your knowledge and experience.

Job Title: Small Engine Mechanic

JOB SUMMARY

The Small Engine Mechanic works in the small engine repair shop at ASR. This person processes work orders for small engine gasoline equipment, services equipment, and aides in filing warranty claims.

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide high-quality repair services on all work orders

  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and perform service to power equipment including mowers, snow blowers, chainsaws, weed trimmers, blowers, generators, and pumps in timely and efficient manner

  • Ability to review manuals and warranties accurately

  • Clearly explain diagnosis and required repairs to customers including warranty claims requiring good verbal and written communication skills

  • Maintain shop cleanliness and uphold all shop requirements

  • Observe all safety and security procedures

  • Responsible for special order parts and coordinate parts ordering with parts manager

  • Participate in all training and development via computer

  • Initiate outstanding sales and service on all work orders

  • Ensure exceptional safety of equipment & tools as well as cleanliness of the shop

  • Responsible for completing all warranty paperwork in a timely manner

  • Responsible for completing service work in a timely manner

  • Use general equipment

  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties

Job Title: Yard Team Mate

JOB SUMMARY

ASR is looking for a full-time employee for the rental yard, that can start immediately. The business is open M-F 7-5:30 and Saturday 8-5. You will be responsible for an opening or closing 8 hour shift.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a small business atmosphere. Even though this is an entry level position, be assured you are an important position with our company. You are the first and last person in contact with our customer. You are the reason our customers come back. Customer service is what keeps us rolling along.
We are looking for an employee for long term work. Must be reliable, hard-working, honest, self-starter who has good communication skills and works well with others. Only serious applicants apply.
The job is working mostly outside through changing weather conditions. You will be loading and unloading rental equipment in a fast-paced environment. You will be working one on one with customers to explain the operating and running of the rental equipment. You will be assessing the equipment for any damages or wear when checking it out and back in.
